PRIVACY POLICY

GO VISTA Accommodation is an independently owned and operated business. Our entire privacy policy can be found on our website. We collect personal information in this form to assess your application for our accommodation facilities.

You also consent to us using your information for direct marketing, business research and customer satisfaction enquiries.

We may need to collect information about you from your previous landlords, your current or previous employer and your referees. Your consent to us collecting this information is set out below. We may disclose personal information about you to the owner of the property to which this application relates. If this application is successful you agree to our minimum stay of 3 months in our accommodations. In the beginning of your lease you will be given 2 weeks rent in advance that will be used in the first week of your rental agreement, you will then be required to pay the following week, you second week in advance will be used at the end of our lease along side you 1-week bond, will be refund unless any damages or cleaning fees needs to be arrange.

If you decided to leave prior to the length of our minimum stay, you still liable for weekly payments unless you find a replacement, that will have to go through the process of acceptance by Go Vista.

We do have CERO TOLERANCE on the followings:

1. Payment arrears, if you are in arrears for 1 week’s rent, we will give you the notice to remedy the breach, if during 7 days of notice have been given you will be issued with a Notice of Remedy Breach, and you will have no other option but to vacate our accommodation within 7 days. A QCAT order will be lodged with the Tribunal to meet your rental obligations until the lease comes to an end.

2. You are not allowed to smoke within the house. Parties are not allowed unless is a special occasion such as birthday parties, graduations and such. Always talk to our Accommodation Manager to have permission to go ahead with this activity.

3. Everyone loves a clean and tidy environment. Keep the place you live clean, we provide in our accommodation cleaning tools for you to use as often as you like.

4. No external person other than the occupants are allowed to remain in our accommodation. As co-living space environment no pets are allowed in our accommodation this is a serious breach and as a result your stay in our accommodation will be automatically cancelled.

5. Any damages made to our properties will be fixed and subdivided at the cost of current tenants.

6. Go Vista Accommodation reserves $20 each week to place towards utility bills. In the scenario that utilities exceed the usual consumption, Go Vista Accommodation will subdivide the exceeding the amount with all household members currently living in the property at the present time.

7. In the event of breaching any of our terms and conditions and you aren’t able to remedy the situation, we will issue a NOTICE TO LEAVE, and you will have no other option to leave the property within 7 days. Any theft, criminal offence, or leaving without an explanation or previous notice, will be notified to Police and the Department of Immigration and Home Affairs. We may also send personal information about you to the University, Institutes or Immigration at their request. You have the right to access personal information that we hold about you by contacting our staff or the contact details on our website. If you do not complete this form or do not sign the consent below then your application will be dismissed.

8. Early Termination of Lease due to Sale of Property

In the event that a property under a fixed-term tenancy agreement is sold, the tenancy agreement will continue to remain in effect until its original end date unless otherwise agreed between the parties. Tenants who choose to terminate the agreement early due to the sale of the property must follow standard break lease procedures as outlined under the Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (Qld).

This includes, but is not limited to:

– Providing written notice of intent to vacate prior to the lease end date;

– Payment of reasonable reletting, advertising, and rent until a new tenant is secured or the lease expires;

– No refund of any portion of the rental bond until the tenancy has officially ended and all financial obligations are finalised.

By signing the lease agreement, the tenant acknowledges and agrees to this condition as part of the standard terms.

CONSENT

I, the Applicant, acknowledge that I have read the Privacy Statement and the Privacy Policy of Go Vista Accommodation and I authorise Go Vista and the Accommodation Manager to collect information about me from:

1. My previous accommodation and Education Institutions.

2. My personal referees.

3. Personal information collected about me to the owner of the property even if the owner is resident outside Australia.

4. Personal information collected about me to any third parties – employers, other agents and other homestay to which it is reasonably necessary to disclose in relation to the previous agreement. As your information may be emailed or stored in the cloud, we cannot ensure that overseas recipients to whom your information is disclosed will not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to your information. Acknowledging that this is so, you consent to your information being emailed and stored in the cloud. I consent to Go Vista disclosing confirmation details to a third parties. I acknowledge that Go Vista Accommodation do not accept any responsibility for any delay in, or failure to arrange or provide for, any connection or disconnection of a utility, or for any loss in connection with such delay or failure.

I acknowledge that Go Vista Accommodation and its employees may receive a fee and/or benefit from a utility service provider in relation to the connection of a utility service.

I also acknowledge, while there is no charge to me for the Go Vista Accommodation service. A compulsory cleaning and laundry fee of $100 may apply at the end of the lease or upon bond settlement, for which I am responsible.

BREACH

Go Vista Accommodation, will request upon signing this agreement to provide a 2-weeks rent in advance and

1-week’s bond. In case of a breach of this agreement, you will still liable to meet your weekly rental fees.
